MISO
Miso has been used as a flavoring ingredient for over 2000 years in the
Orient, and is one of the world's most important soyfood. It combines the
goodness of soybeans with a fermentation process, making miso very benefitial
to us. It is a highly versatile seasoning and is available in a variety
of flavors and colors. Some of the popular uses are for making sauces, soups,
marinades, dressings, dips and main dishes. It is fast becoming an essential

manufacuture products here. We produce four main brands of miso: Cold Mountain,
Yamajirushi, Kanemasa and Yamaizumi. Our Miso is widely available throughout

When MIYAKO
ORIENTAL FOODS was incorporated on January 26 of 1976, we became the first
in the US to manufacture authentic Japanese miso. We combined the American
ingredients with the know-how of the parent company, Japan's Yamajirushi
